1. Introduction
Welcome to Alpy.in ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our platform, including our website and booking services for houseboats, shikaras, and other water activities in Kerala.
By accessing Alpy.in, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Booking & Reservations
Alpy.in acts as a marketplace connecting travelers with boat owners and activity operators.
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the vendor.
- Users must provide accurate information (name, contact, date) during the booking process.
- A reservation is only considered confirmed once you receive a confirmation notification via email or our platform.
- We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel bookings that appear fraudulent or violate our policies.
3. Payments & Pricing
Transparency in pricing is a core value at Alpy.in.
- All prices listed are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise.
- Prices may include base rates, service fees, and applicable taxes.
- Specific payment terms (e.g., partial advance vs. full payment) are set by the individual vendors and will be displayed during checkout.
- Alpy.in provides secure payment processing, but we are not responsible for bank fees or currency conversion rates.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both travelers and local vendors.
- Standard Policy: Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled trip start time.
- Late Cancellation: Cancellations made within 48 hours are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
- No-Shows: Failure to arrive at the scheduled time without prior notice will result in no refund.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5-7 business days to reflect in your account.
5. User Conduct & Safety
To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, we ask all users to:
- Respect the property and instructions of boat owners and crew.
- Follow all safety guidelines, especially regarding life jackets and equipment usage.
- Avoid littering or causing damage to the natural Kerala water bodies.
- Refrain from any illegal activity or harassment of other guests or staff.
